Operation Love Reunited
Posted on February 23, 2010
I am extremely proud to say that I was just approved to be a fellow photographer for an organization called Operation Love Reunited (OpLove).
If you, or someone you know, has a loved one being deployed or is deployed to serve our country, OpLove links you up with participating photographers who offer complimentary photo sessions and pictures for the deployed servicemember to take with him/her. You can also schedule a homecoming session when they return. OpLove is nationwide.

I’m really excited to do my first OpLove session.
I’m glad there is a way I can give back to so many that risk their lives to keep us safe here at home.

These are just a few pictures of finished canvases ordered for a client.
A canvas is a finished piece of artwork ready to hang on your wall. No frame is needed. The print is printed on the canvas itself and then stretched on a stretcher frame that is 1 1/2 inches thick giving it depth and dimension.

The Library
Posted on February 6, 2010
My sis watched Ben for me yesterday so when I picked up Emma from school we had fun hanging out and being silly at the library. Emma’s girl scout troop has picked Mexico for their Thinking Day project (all the troops pick a different country and learn about them and then on Thinking Day we get together with other troops from our council and the girls present what they have learned). I love hanging out with Em…she’s growing up way too fast…

Miss M

This was another quick shoot … Miss M and I had fun playing in the snow. Another barn (I’m becoming obsessed with them!) that I have permission to shoot at (thanks Tracey, for asking them!).

peaceful winter morning
Posted on February 4, 2010
I am not a morning person. This morning, when I turned off my alarm and found out that school had been cancelled and I didn’t have to get up to get my daughter ready for school…I wanted to curl back up in my warm covers. Then I looked out my window. The snow that had fallen last night was wet and had collected on everything and made a wintery wonderland that woke me up and coaxed me outside to capture some images of how magical everything looked. I still don’t feel I was able to really catch in my lens what I really saw but I loved being out in the fresh crisp air and listening to the silence of my blanketed surroundings.
I’m not crazy about winter, especially since we are expected to get clobbered again this weekend, but mornings like this make it just a little more bearable…

I had a quick 20 minute session with these two adorable little ones! Mom had told me that she wanted a “red barn” for a backdrop so with a little asking around, we found this cute little red barn behind a dentist’s office and it was PERFECT! I love how it worked as a beautiful background with the fresh snow on the ground. thanks Laura, I had fun!
