J & B at the barn

Posted on October 30, 2010

What an adorable couple of kids! We shot a session at the Beard Farm in Davidsonville. The Beard family was nice enough to allow me to use their historic barn for a backdrop. What a beautiful location!!!

The kids were dressed in their adorable outfits and we set out to play and have some fun, and that we did!

Good thing I saved my pettiskirt until the end because we wouldn’t have got one shot without it! lol

Thanks so much Emily! I adore this session and I hope you do as well! 🙂

Maddy’s visit

Posted on October 21, 2010

It’s so hard living 270 miles away from my brother and his family. Not just because we miss them, which we do, but because their daughter, Maddy, is the same age as my son, Ben,  and my sister’s son, Alex. So when they asked if we could watch Maddy for a few days while they attended a friend’s wedding we were excited to be able to spend some time together. By the last day they were all playing together as if they never spent any time apart and that really warmed our hearts.

Love you Maddy, girl! Miss you already! xoxo

Bobbi & Phil

Posted on October 11, 2010

Bobbi & Phil met 16 years ago. Bobbi remembers calling her daughter and telling her “I just gave my name and number to a man I met at the bookstore!”  Their lives haven’t been the same since.

It was a beautiful intimate setting at the Severn Inn and Bobbi & Phil had their closest friends and family with them. It was so wonderful to hear people talk about them because they had touched their lives with such love. They so deserved the happiness the two of them feel.

Thanks for letting me be a part of your day and I wish you all the happiness in the world. 🙂

What to Wear for family portrait sessions

Posted on October 5, 2010

With a lot of fall portrait sessions coming up I thought I would give some ideas on some awesome coordinating outfit choices. These are just suggestions and you can change out the colors as long as they the colors work together. People are always inquiring on what is good to wear for portrait sessions. I usually say as long as you don’t have a lot of prints…solid colors work so much better in photographs. Hope this gives y’all some ideas and Happy Fall!!! 🙂

Ingwersen Family

Posted on September 28, 2010

I had never been to Matapeake Beach on the far side of the Bay Bridge and it was a beautiful setting! I met the Ingwersen family there and after only a few minutes, they seemed very comfortable in front of the camera. The weather was perfect and we had fun walking up the beach. Thanks guys! I hope you like your images! 🙂

OpLove Session

Posted on September 16, 2010

Heather found me through the OpLove website and we shared many emails back and forth about her husbands arrival. When it comes to homecomings in the military, arrival times change on a daily basis. It’s something I am used to and as long as I am able to, I will do everything in my power to be available for the special day.  We finally got the time nailed down the day before and I met her at the gate at Andrew’s Airforce Base. Heather was all bubbly and nervous and I could feel the tension in the hangar as we entered and many families were anxiously awaiting their loved ones.

We finally got the message that his plane was on it’s final approach and everyone scrambled to the big open hangar doors. It was incredible to watch as they approached the runway and touched down. The plane needed to stop a few hangars down and the service men and women climbed off the plane and made the walk up the tarmac.

Heather had won a drawing for being able to get the first kiss and she ran to meet him. (I still get goosebumps thinking about it. 🙂  )

It was an incredible day. Thanks Heather, I hope you enjoy these!

Miss “I” – newborn session

Posted on June 30, 2010

This little lady was the sweetest little baby! She had an awesome head of hair that made her look pixie-like. She was a great sport letting me put cute little hats on her. I had bought the bear one and to my surprise, mom had an AWESOME collection of hats herself! I think my favorite has to be the green hat with the huge pink flower. 🙂

Congratulations Bri! She is just absolutely beautiful!!! Hope you enjoy these!

Meaghan and Guy – June 11, 2010

Posted on June 24, 2010

It couldn’t have been a more perfect day for Meaghan and Guy for their beautiful Historic Londontown wedding. The temperature was perfect…the skies were sunny and blue…

Chrissie from Historic Events did a fantastic job coordinating all the details of the day. Meaghan’s bouquet by Cynthia at Flower Follies was gorgeous with the hint of white feather amongst her purple, white and pink flowers.

Michael Bell from MyDeejay got everyone up on their feet and dancing.

It was an absolutely beautiful day! Hope you enjoy your images Meaghan and Guy!!!meaghan_guy_20100611_0007_web

Tony and Sonia – June 8, 2010

Posted on June 17, 2010

Tony and Sonia had a sweet courthouse ceremony that I was fortunate enough to shoot due to their original photographer not being able to do it. I have known Tony since back in my restaurant days and I was so happy I could do this for them! Sonia looked beautiful and when Tony got choked up during his vows (sorry Tony, but I LOVED that!) I knew he loved her dearly and it really was meant to be. Thanks guys for letting me be a part of your big day!!!

If you are in Bethesda, MD….go check out Tony’s awesome restaurant, Visions !!!

I hope you enjoy these Tony and Sonia!!!!
